Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest base camp trek is considered as one of the most adventurous trekking trail in whole Himalayan region and holds 4th position in world trekking trail recognized by 8th edition of lonely planet guide book. It is that paradise where you can view four of six tallest peaks which include Mount Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m) and Cho Oyu (8156m). Trekkers trekking to Everest base camp usually fly from Kathmandu to Hillary airport in Lukla .From Lukla trekkers start to trek upward to beautiful village set by Sherpa called Namche bazaar (3,440) following the valley form by Dudh Koshi River.  You get to stay one day in Namche bazaar so you get chance to adapt in the prevailing climatic condition.  After one day of stay in Namche Bazaar we kick start our trek for another two days to Dingboche (4,260m).Further another two days of trek will ultimately lead to Everest base camp passing Gorakshep the flat land below Kalapathar (5,545m) and Mt. Pumori.

Everest Base Camp Trekking Itinerary

Day01: From Tribhuvan International Airport you will be transferred to your hotel room. In the afternoon we will invite you to our office for briefing about the each day program. Today we will hand over your Sagarmatha National Park Permits and TIMS.

Day02:Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla. After that trek to the village of Monju (2835m) via Chheplung, Phading. Overnight at Moonju.

Day03:Trek uphill to the Namche via Jorsale. In this trail keep in mind about the scarcity of water and not presence of lodges in the path unless you reach the top. The complete the walk for 5 to 6 hours.

Day04: Today we will acclimatize at Namche Bazaar. Today we may rest or hike through the village of Khunde and Khumjung. Khumjung is the largest village of Khumbu region. After having lunch we will hike back to Namche Bazaar.

Day05:Trek to Tengboche (3890m) via Sanasa and Fungethaga. We will have our lunch at the edge of Dudhkoshi River. From Tengboche we can see the captivating vista of Gokyo RI, Amadablam, Thamserku and Island Peak. Tengboche is known for the highest monastery in the world.

Day06:Today trek up to Pheriche via Deboche, Pangboche and Dingboche. All of these villages provide food and lodging facility. So if you want to take the journey slow this is the best place to rest and relax.

Day07: Today we will rest at Periche, so that we get acclimatize at the higher altitude. Explore the village today or treat yourself with the spectacular mountain vistas. If you feel unwell inform you r guide and return as quickly as possible to Lowe altitude.

Day08:Trek to Lobuche (4930m). Lobuche is a small village with several lodges. Often tourist entering Lobuche will find lodge full and may have to share a room with stranger or sleep in common room.

Day09:Trek to Gorak Shep (5160m) which is relatively easy and takes around 3 hours. You too can do a short side trip to Everest Pyramid which is weather station built by Italians. Gorakshep can also be your base your base camp to visit Everest base camp.

Day10: Trek to Dingboche (4400m) which requires 6 hours.

Day11: Trek to Sanasa (3785m) which requires 5 hours.

Day12: Trek to Monju (2835m) which requires 5 hours.

Day13: Trek to Lukla (2800m) which requires 5 hours.

Day14: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

Day15: Departure for your onward flight.
